WILL IRISH EYES BE SMILING?
The Irish Independent 11th December, 2001,
reported local authorities had rebuked the E.P.A. for failing to respond to
serious outbreaks of E colt contamination in drinking water.
"There were 24 serious contamination
outbreaks at a time when water quality is worsening."
Some 1623 group schemes nationwide are
unsatisfactory with widespread E colt contamination from farm run off,
sewage, septic tanks and industry.
"Other dangerous substances can be
found in the water we drink: aluminium (associated with Alzheimer's
disease in some studies), and toxic nitrates.
In certain cases, there is too high
a level of fluoride."
The Irish Government is over a barrel,
maybe of Guinness Stout, their promised study into "the Effects of Water
Fluoridation on bottle fed babies" has again been washed away with Guiness'
Christmas celebrations, hoping few will remember their "before Christmas"
delivery statement.
The Irish Examiner 22nd December, 2001,
published fluoride facts especially relating to bottle fed children in
fluoridated areas, they stated:
"Newborns who are fed formula
prepared with tap water are receiving three times the fluoride limit
recommended by the British Medical Association, while a three month old
child receives up to six times (600%) the limit, according to Senator
Doyle."
"fluoridated drinking water has
been linked to cancer, gastro intestinal disorders, hip fractures and
thyroid disorders, while a study published in the U.S. medical journal
NeuroToxicity found that fluoride exposure could produce lower IQ levels
in children."
Real problems for Irish Government
An Irish medical doctor, Dr Rynne GP has
filed a legal case against the Irish Government.
"The basis of his case is that the
Irish Constitution guarantees certain human rights, and the 1960
fluoridation law is unconstitutional as it infringes his right to bodily
integrity. It is likely to be heard in the high court in about 18 months.
Senior Counsel believes Dr Rynne has
every chance of winning his case in the high court or the supreme court.
Should that fail, he has an excellent chance in the European Court of
Human Rights, arguing that fluoridation breaks article five of the Council
of Europe's 1997 Convention on Human Rights and Biomedicine, which states
'an intervention in the health field may only be carried out after the
person concerned has given free and informed consent'."
Irish dentists group oppose fluoridation
More litigation is about to be levelled at
the Irish Minister for Health, Michael Martin, a group of 20 Irish Dentists
who have broken ranks with the Irish Dental Association.
"The group of 20 Irish Dentists
Opposing Fluoridation maintain that health authorities have not fulfilled
their obligation under the 1960 Health Act to carry out regular surveys
into the health effects of fluoridation.
Spokesman Dr Don MacCauley said the
department had never carried out a comprehensive survey, although
international research has linked fluoridation to cancer, irritable bowel
syndrome, hip fractures and thyroid disorders. A study published in
American medical journal Neuro Toxicity found that fluoride exposure could
produce lower IQ levels in children.
Up to 50% of Dr MacCauley's teenage
patients have dental fluorosis which has been linked to fluoridation which
creates white spots or lines on teeth and causes tooth enamel to chip, he
said.
The agent used, hydrofluosflic acid,
is a waste component of the fertiliser industry and contains traces of
chromium, mercury, arsenic and lead, according to Dr MacCauley.
Ireland is now the only country in
Europe to insist that drinking water be fluoridated, although nine county
councils, two corporations and seven urban district councils have voted to
end fluoridation.
Dr MacCauley said the group opposed
fluoridation because medication is being administered without consent, the
public has not been fully informed of the risks and side effects and
fluoridation causes dental fluorosis.
Kildare based GP Andrew Rynne is
taking a separate case against the Government and the Irish Medicine Board
(IMB) on the grounds that, although fluoride is a medicine, it is not
licensed by the IMB." (Irish Examiner, 22nd October, 2001)
Up to 50% of dentist's
teenage patients have dental fluorosis
Fluoridation is foisted on populations.
Communities must beware of what looks like innocent claims and actions by
Governments in concert with drug producers such as fluoride chemical
pollutants fed to their people. They work mainly through their bureaucracies
and their working procedure is like cutting their slices off a salami
sausage.
Just a very thin slice at a time, generally
unnoticeable, however careful observation shows the whole sausage quietly
disappears in an atmosphere of covert corrupt achievement at a real cost to
the trusting community.
The methods used in these dubious
operations are usually hidden from the community.
Some nations classify them as the use of
"criminal silence".
